This special issue explores music as a constitutive dimension of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), bringing together research on children’s development, musical cultures and play, inclusion and interculturality, and educators’ professional knowledge and practices. It welcomes empirical, theoretical, historical, comparative and practice-based contributions from different disciplinary and international perspectives.
